Qatar Sports Tanmiya was created by journalism students in Northwestern University in Qatar's Advanced Online Storytelling class to explore Qatar’s attempts to cultivate a sports culture in the country. This multimedia websites features a plethora of information about the developing sports scene in Qatar. From the construction of state-of-the-art stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the growing support for Qatari women participating in competitive sports, to the promotion of athletics among the disabled and the enhancement of sports facilities for migrant workers. This website provides you with all the latest information about what the 2022 FIFA World Cup host is gearing up to in promoting itself as an up-and-coming sporting hub of the Middle East.
